Solving the issue of the children in the trash dumps will take a lot of work. We hope to take small steps that will have large impacts in making progress in the trash dump. Here in the United States, we take first aid for granted; whereas developing nations have nearly no access at all. Minor wounds can lead to more serious issues such as infection, loss of a limb, or even death. By providing appopriate first aid supplies we hope to begin a cascade of changes for this community. The first aid supplies are a simple, but a large and effective intervention, to facilitate further sanitation and health care initiatives  in the area. Please assist us in achieving our goal of making the trash dumps a little bit safer and preventing treatable conditions.

Pictured above is a young adult who cut himself while digging in the trash dump receving minor medical care from a visiting volunteer. With First aid kits, this minor care would be available all of the time and wouldn't rely on the presence of humitarians.

Pictured above is a cut that with proper first aid coould heal appropriately without infection or any permanent life-changing result such as amputation.
